b. July 25, 1848, in Noble Co., Ind. Married (1) Mary Jane Nelson of Keokuk,

Ia., March 5, 1873. She died in March 1883, and on April 2, 1885, he married

(2) Lucina Ogle of Kendallville, Ind. She died in 1915. He married (3) Nov.

27, 1917, Mrs. Minerva Ogle of Cleveland, O. He was educated in Kendallville,

Ind., lived a short time in Michigan, and August 1869 moved to Deep River,

Ia., where he died June 18, 1931. He was an Elder in the Presbyterian Church

for 35 years. "His life was an open evidence of the faith he professed, and

his example and influence consistently Christian."
