MARRIAGE: Check out a William Axtell who married in Q2 1878 (Vol 3a/Page 513 St Albans, Hertfordshire). 1878 is 21 years after William's birth in 1858 so about right. Women listed on the page are Ann Draper, Hannah S M Mathews and Sophia Marlow Mathews. Double check Ann Draper since I think there was a Draper family living next to the Axtells in Shephall according to one census.
